Thanks to your amazing support\, we sold an incredible £2\,290.25 of books and stationery\, which means the school now has around £1\,200 to spend on brand‑new books for our children. \nWe’re really excited to use these rewards to refresh and expand a variety of genres in the school library. This means every child will have the chance to enjoy fresh\, engaging\, and inspiring new reads over the coming months. \nThank you so much for your enthusiasm and involvement—your support makes a real difference! \n******************************** \nSwanland Primary School will be holding a Scholastic Book Fair (please see separate flyer) from Tuesday 3rd to Monday 9th March.  The children will receive a World Book Day Voucher in due course\, and they will be able to spend this voucher at the Book Fair before World Book Day\, which is on Thursday 5th March 2026.

DESCRIPTION:Reception\, Year 1\, Year 2\, Year 3\, Year 4\, Year 5\, Year 6 \nOn Thursday 5th March it is World Book Day and one of the activities we are doing to to celebrate this\, is to hold a whole-school shared reading session.  Children will join mixed-age groups to share their favourite picture book or short story. \nPlease send your child to school on 5th March with their favourite picture book or short story that can be enjoyed by any age group. If you don’t have an appropriate book\, you are welcome to use the public library or the school library. \nPlease label the book with your child’s name to ensure it can be returned safely to you.
