DESCRIPTION:Reception\, Year 1\, Year 2\, Year 3\, Year 4\, Year 5\, Year 6 \nSwanland Show – Sunday 29th September 2024\, 1.00-3.30 pm \nSwanland Show is an annual event\, which enables villagers and others to showcase their talents and skills and to compete for prizes\, trophies and personal pride.  There are classes for both adults and children covering a wide range of categories designed to reflect local activities in horticulture and domestic hobbies. \nThis year the Show will be held in the Village Hall between 1.00 and 3.30 pm on Sunday 29th September with prizes being awarded at 2.30 pm. \nChildren are busy producing artwork in school this term which can be entered into the Show (letter to follow in due course) and we are hoping to run a competition asking the children to produce a poster advertising the event with 2 Amazon vouchers as prizes; with a winner in KS1 and a winner in KS2 (more details to follow). \nChildren can also enter the following categories: \n\nA decorated wooden spoon\nA painted plant pot\nA birthday card for a friend\nMy favourite animal – in any media maximum size A4\n\nClick here to see the Swanland Show Facebook Page.

DESCRIPTION:Reception\, Year 1\, Year 2\, Year 3\, Year 4\, Year 5\, Year 6 \nPTA Summer Fete – Friday 12th July 2024 \nThe PTA have been busy in the background working on the details for the 2024 Summer Fete: this will take place on Friday 12th July straight after school until 5.30 pm.  We hope to have some traditional school fete games as well at the Year 6 children organising their fete games.  We also hope to have bouncy castles (more than one if we get enough helpers!)\, hot dogs\, tuck shop\, a bric-a-brac stall and chocolate tombola. \nAll of this will be dependent on volunteers though\, so we will shortly be sending out sign-up sheets for volunteers.  If you can donate 30 minutes of your time\, this will make the event a success!  The more volunteers we have the more activities we can run! \nIn addition to this\, we are inviting vendors to hold stalls\, we have a Children’s Toy stall and Face Painting already but if you know of anyone who would like a stall please ask them to email ptaswanlandschool@gmail.com.  Stalls are £20.00. \n  \nSummer Fete – Raffle Prizes and Volunteers Please! \nAre you able to donate a raffle prize for our PTA Summer Fete on Friday 12th July?  Perhaps you run a small business – this would be an excellent opportunity to advertise your business through a voucher or a sample of your products?  All donations are welcomed\, large and small\, and should be brought to the School Office – thank you very much! \nDon’t forget to sign up – the Summer Fete is dependent on volunteers!  Thank you to those of you who have already signed up\, however we desperately need volunteers in order to make this event a success.   Please click here to volunteer!   \n  \n
