Seeing the childrens’ faces light up on that play day reminded us all why these fundraising efforts matter so much. \nLooking Ahead: 2026 \nWe’re once again raising funds to further develop our outdoor provision\, giving our children even more opportunities to learn and play outdoors in the fresh air. \nThe Swanland Walking Group needs YOU! \nWe are returning to the Yorkshire 3 Peaks on Saturday 9th May 2026. It’s a friendly\, enjoyable walk suitable for all abilities. Last year we enjoyed incredible weather and stunning views across the peaks. The event raised over £3\,000 and we would love to make 2026 our biggest year yet. \nWhether you are an experienced walker or a first-timer\, come and join our Swanland Walking Mums and Dads for a great day out in support of an amazing cause. \nWe’re Seeking Partners \nTo grow our “From the Playground to the Peaks” initiative\, we are looking for local businesses and community partners to support our outdoor learning and play projects. DESCRIPTION:Reception\, Year 1\, Year 2\, Year 3\, Year 4\, Year 5\, Year 6 \nWe are delighted to be celebrating Walk to School Week\, beginning Monday 18th May. During this week\, we would like to encourage children to walk\, scoot or cycle to school as much as possible. \nEach class will be keeping a daily tally of how many children travel actively to school. For every day a child walks\, scoots\, or cycles\, they will be rewarded by being able to choose which shoes they wear to school (within reason!). \nTo add to the fun\, we will also be holding a poster competition\, a poetry competition\, and a ‘Spot the Dirty Feet’ challenge around school. \nWe understand that active travel to school is not possible for everyone. If families do need to drive\, we would appreciate your support in parking a little further away. For example\, if parking on Tranby Lane\, please park beyond Stratton Park and walk down Tranby Lane to school. \nThank you for helping us promote healthy\, active habits for our children.

Even 30 minutes of your time would make a big difference — the more volunteers they have\, the more activities they can run! Sign‑up sheets will be sent out shortly. \nThey are also inviting external stallholders. They already have a children’s toy stall and face painting\, but if you know anyone who’d like a stall\, please ask them to email ptaswanlandschool@gmail.com Stalls cost £20. \nThank you for supporting what promises to be a fantastic afternoon!
