Harvest Festival Celebration and Foodbank Collection

On Wednesday 7th October 2026, the children will be visiting Christ Church, Swanland, to take part in a Harvest Festival celebration.

This year, Christ Church will once again be collecting donations for Hull Foodbank (Trussell Trust). Hull Foodbank is only able to accept non-perishable food items, such as tinned and dried goods, rather than fresh produce.

Examples of suitable donations include:

Tinned Fruit • Tinned Vegetables • Soup • Rice Pudding • Tinned Meat • Pasta • Beans

The following items would also be greatly appreciated:

Breakfast Cereals • Rice • Tea/Coffee • Sugar • Biscuits • Snacks

If your child would like to make a donation, please send it into school on the morning of Wednesday 7th October only. Donations will be kept in classrooms until the children carry them to church as part of the Harvest Festival celebration.

Please note that there is no obligation to donate. A contribution is not required for your child to attend the church visit.
